Appearance

Wolves are really interesting animals ! They look just like dogs, but they have bigger feet! Their special feet help them run fast to catch their prey.
Wolves have 42 teeth for tearing, chewing, and grinding. The Timber Wolves have 2 thick bristly fur coats so they are warm in the snow! some times wolves can be white but mostly they are greyish black. They can be bigger than dogs. They can be 120 cm long and weigh 52 kg.They have a long bushy tail.

Habitat

Wolves live all over Canada. Wolf packs live and hunt in big territories. They are as big as 500 square miles. Wolves live in the wilderness. They live in a den. They live in the forest and on the prairies

Diet

Wolves eat deer, elk ,moose,caribou, bison, musk oxen, and bighorn sheep. Timber wolves drink a lot of water to digest their food.Grey wolves were made to chase and hunt their prey. Wolves don't always catch what they go after. All of the wolves sleep for a long time after they eat.

Predators

Wolves are afraid of grizzly bears. They lay their ears flat against their head when they are scared. They growl and show their teeth They protect their cubs from bears.
Wolves get hit by trans and cars. People try to hunt wolves down. Once more than a half million wolves lived in the united states.

Offspring

The momma wolves have one litter every year. The momma wolves have 5 to 6 babies are celled pups and cubs. little pups cannot see or hear when they are born and are covered with fine wooly hair. baby cubs drink milk from their mother. Little babies eat meat when they are 3 weeks old. Mother wolves look after their pups

Adaptations

Wolves run fast to catch their prey. They can run long distances. Grey wolves have special feet to help them run in the snow. Timber wolves travel in the fall and winter to look for food . Wolves live in 1 place during spring and summer. Some times they move to different places.

Cool Facts

An alpha wolf is always the leader of the pack.Only the alpha wolves have cubs. All of the wolves in the pack baby sits the cubs.
The wolves die if their not apart of the pack. Wolves have bigger feet than dogs . That's all about cool facts.
